This series of corespun yarns is inspired by landscapes both earthly and imaginary. The corespinning technique lends itself well to explorations of texture and color, ethereal yet solid, like just the moment in time and space where earth meets sky.
This will be an ongoing series from various materials.
Landscape Series #8 is crafted from a handcarded batt of rich brown Icelandic wool, cotswold locks, merino/lincoln cross wool, sari and flax and wee bit of copper sparkle. The colors are much richer in person, like a deep fertile soil.
Very lightweight, plenty of yardage here for a hat, scarf or other small project. |
