Be aware that I use wool that has been only minimally processed, if at all, and therefore may contain small bits o' the farm here and there. Please contact me for more information. It's been very dry so far this Spring here in New England...we've been waiting and wishing for some much-needed rain...I started imagining the lawn-crazy folks replacing their dying grass with astroturf...and promptly made my way over to the drumcarder. I blended various wools, flax fibers (the dying lawn), sari silk (wilted flowers), Easter grass (the plastic lawn alternative) and some sparkle (for hope that the soil will be quenched). The batts were then corespun around a laceweight, curly mohair yarn, super-bulky and with lots of texture. |
