Time Traveler is a handcarded blend of various wools, alpaca, silk noils, sparkle and who knows what else. Created during the Pluckyfluff Spin Camp, hosted at my studio last weekend, it contains many treasures from the fiber table. This slightly thick and thin single is plied with a lovely silver ribbon thread that softly shimmers. The colors and the way they play out throughout the yarn remind me of a landscape going swiftly by, like looking through the window of a car on the highway, or...a time machine? Also throughout the yarn are felted black pebbles, picked up along travels through time and space... Time Traveler |
